61-year-old woman dead in north Columbus homicide

COLUMBUS, Ohio ( WCMH ) – A 61-year-old woman was found dead after police said she suffered a “brutal attack” on Friday.

Police discovered the remains of Li-Chu Lin on the 6000 block of Zumstein Drive, according to the Columbus Division of Police. Lin was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a Saturday update, police said a person of interest was identified and apprehended, later identifying the man as Arthur J. Scott Jr., 36. Scott has been charged with murder, rape and kidnapping.

Scott is being held in Franklin County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in Franklin County Municipal Court Monday morning.
