CHUBBUCK — Three sheds, multiple motorcycles and a boat were completely destroyed in a Saturday afternoon fire in Chubbuck.

Chubbuck firefighters were dispatched to the blaze on the 400 block of Lariat Lane around 4:15 p.m. Saturday, according to Chubbuck Fire Chief Merlin Miller.

Firefighters arrived to find three sheds engulfed in flames, Miller said.

The occupants of a nearby home were asked to exit their residence as a precautionary measure as heat from the blaze encroached on the home, said Miller, adding that some of the vinyl siding on the house was damaged by the fire.

Nobody was injured and no pets were killed as a result of the blaze, Miller said.

Though the nearby residence escaped serious damage, all three sheds and their contents — several motorcycles, a boat and other vehicles — were declared total losses, said Miller.

The blaze was controlled around 5 p.m. and firefighters cleared the scene around 6 p.m., Miller said.

There was no electricity connected to any of the three sheds and nobody was inside any of the structures at the time of the blaze, said Miller, adding that the cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation.

The blaze originated in one of the three sheds, Miller said.

The North Bannock Fire District also responded to the blaze.

Lariat Lane and other nearby streets were temporarily shut down because of the fire.
