All lanes have been reopened after a tractor trailer caught fire on I-75 Southbound early Friday morning.

The truck was towing 80 barrels of brake fluid when it crashed into a bridge near the Delk Road exit. According to Cobb County, many of the barrels started "leaking, burning and exploding."

Multiple lanes and the Delk Road entrance to the freeway were closed from about 3 a.m. to just before 8 a.m., Friday, according to Marietta Police Public Information Officer Chuck McPhilamy.

    No injuries were reported.

“We are very fortunate that there are no injuries related to this,” McPhilamy said. “Due to the nature and scope of the fire that occurred, it took hours to reopen.”
