    Commuter reacts to semi-truck fire and crash on I-94 near Somers

    Traffic is moving again in the northbound and southbound lanes of I-94 after a fiery crash Friday afternoon.

    According to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office, the crash involved two semis and three passenger vehicles.

    It happened just after 3 p.m. near County KR. Southbound lanes were closed for over six hours as crews worked to clean up the mess.

    According to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office, there were no fatalities and no significant injuries.

    Officials worked with several tow companies and fire and rescue to reopen the interstate.

    Tow crews work to remove debris from the crash.

    After the initial crash, several other minor crashes occurred due to the backup.

    Shaquan Lake was traveling to Milwaukee when he came across the flames shooting out of the semi truck.

    "It was really a scary sight to see," Lake said.

    Shaquan Lake saw the crash on I-41/94.

    He was driving to Milwaukee to do some sighting seeing and came across a scary sight.

    "I saw the driver of the semi-truck get out through the passenger side, so he was very much lucky to get out of that crash because it was very very bad," Lake explained.

    The crash is still under investigation.
