    Clown Sword Cane

On Saturday, March 27, a report came in to San Francisco Police Department that a clown wielding a sword cane was seen in Downtown San Francisco.

Of course, it was a person wearing a clown mask, not a real, Joker-like clown.

    That would be really terrifying.

    The News

The popular crime reporting app, Citizen, was on with the story.

Now, this is likely not the same as the trend from a few years ago where people dressed up as clowns and other scary villains and re-enacted horror films and books.

    That was an unfortunate time.

But it’s true—last Saturday between the Tenderloin, Nob Hill, and Japantown, someone wearing a clown mask was wielding a sword that they were also, it seems, using as a cane.

Was this cloud old or young? Meek or scary?

Was this clown saying anything? Did they have any candy for nearby children?

These are unanswered questions as of this time.

We hope that if any copycat clowns wish to dress up like this mysterious figure, that they would indicate they are merely copycats by wearing a sign that says: “COPYCAT.”

    It’s only fair.

A Message to San Francisco Residents

If you or anyone you know is this clown figure, please encourage them to apply to Mills College, which has recently been turned into a clown school. Now, that’s not true, unless you believe this article.

Only time will tell if we see more of these clowns. In the meantime, make sure you keep your Citizen subject lines riveting for the rest of us.
