Shortly after midnight on Tuesday an incident was reported at Van Nuys Blvd & Arleta Ave. involving a vehicle pursuit of a gray Chrysler van going eastbound. This was in relation to an unspecified incident.

Naturally, as happens in police pursuits, the address was changed to I-5 S & Osborne St.

The pursuit continued south toward Lankershim Blvd, where the vehicle exited the freeway, according to police.

The pursuit continued at Pendleton St. & San Fernando Rd. going eastbound now toward Glenoaks Blvd & Tuxford St.

Toward 1 am, police advised that the fleeing vehicle turned southbound on Glenoaks Blvd from Tuxford St.

Just minutes later, officers advised that they had discontinued the pursuit and the vehicle had successfully evaded police.

Video shared by Citizen app user _DannyZ shows police officers canvassing multiple floors of a building in the area.

    Other High Speed Chases

According to CBS Los Angeles, an arrest was made earlier in the day on Monday in Pasadena after a 90-minute high-speed motorcycle chase wound along streets and freeways and included a pit stop at a gas station for fuel when the rider yanked the pump handle from another customer's car at a 76 station.

The chase began about 11:10 a.m., when deputies from the sheriff's Norwalk Station tried to stop the motorcyclist for traffic violations, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The biker kept going, and authorities pursued him, but then transitioned to monitoring his progress by helicopter. At times, the motorcycle was going more than 100 mph, according to broadcast reports.
