Monsters Unite: Monster Day Greeley 2024

For the past few years, the town of Greeley and Distortions Unlimited have hosted Monster Day Greeley. Over the years we have enjoyed attending this great event that brings monsters from all walks of life together. Or, maybe we should say, all "walks of dead."

Last year, it was quickly apparent that the Addams Family was the most popular theme. Due to the recent release of the Netflix series “Wednesday.” The show is from the imagination of Tim Burton and stars Jenna Ortega in the title role, alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, and Gwendoline Christie. This sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery was a recent media splash. And it was “Nevermore” apparent at Monster Days 2023. We were even treated to a Wednesday dance contest. Featuring the song “Goo Goo Muck” by The Cramps from the Netflix version of Wednesday’s dance scene. Everyone competing showed their Wednesday talents and all knew the moves from the show. The monster-building talents of Distortions Unlimited will be on display throughout the event. Ed and Marsha Edmunds, Owners of Distortions Unlimited love to pump up the crowd with their stage presence, talent display, and rapid-fire mask giveaways. Ed quickly airbrushes monster masks and throws them into the audience. The crowd goes wild.

My favorite thing about the event is the group costumes and creativity all around us. So many come to the event each year with their monster on. The event is festive, fun, and extremely enjoyable.

The family-friendly celebration of all things monster. There will be lots of professional makeup demonstrations, vendor booths, face painting, food, kids’ activities, games, photo ops, and more.
