Missing 83-year-old Cortland man may be heading to Syracuse, police say
Syracuse, N.Y. — A missing 83-year-old Cortland man may be heading to Syracuse, police said. Theodore Testa was last seen on Homer Avenue in Cortland around 9:45 p.m. on Friday, Cortland police said. Testa was driving a 2015 red Chevrolet Trax with New York license plate CSC-1332, police said.

Cortland DEC shares updates on veggie and pollinator gardens
CORTLAND, NY (CortacaToday) – Cortland County officials are touting the success of a recently created community garden and the continuing growth of another. The DEC Cortland office says the new veggie garden is thriving in its first season, partly due to its proximity to the office’s pollinator garden, planted back in 2022. The veggie garden project, led by Ecosystem Health Biologist and Sustainability Committee member Sarah Clay, kicked off earlier this summer. The garden is now full of beans, sweet corn, squash, tomatoes, and potatoes.

TC3 Appoints Jason Pomeroy as New Executive Director of TC3 Foundation
TC3 announced on Thursday that they have appointed Jason Pomeroy to be their new Executive Director of the Tompkins Cortland Community College Foundation. Pomeroy is now responsible for spearheading philanthropy and fundraising efforts to support TC3 as both a university and a community. His prior experience as Director of the Cortland Fund for three years has given him extensive experience in higher education-based fundraising. Pomeroy also held positions at Ithaca College, Cazenovia College, and most recently as the Regional Executive Director of the American Heart Association.
