Carter County Sheriff: Body found near Butler in Johnson County after search
A spokesperson for the Carter County sheriff’s office said midday Saturday, Johnson County deputies found human remains in the Butler community. The remains were sent for a forensic examination and identification in Johnson City. A spokesperson said the remains were found Saturday afternoon as part of a joint search between the Johnson and Carter County sheriff’s offices and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Carter County Sheriff Mike Fraley said the investigation is ongoing, and more details would be released when available.
