Major overhaul: West Virginia leadership on newly realigned units, search for next president
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WV News) — Students soon will return to the campuses of West Virginia University for the first semester since two realigned units launched July 1. The two new units, the WVU College of Creative Arts and Media and the Division for Land-Grant Engagement, represent some of the most significant changes to the university's structure resulting from its "academic transformation" process.

Grants or Gifts Relating to Women in Higher Education
Here is this week’s news of grants and gifts that may be of particular interest to women in higher education. has received new funding from the United States Department of Health and Human Services in support of the West Virginia Health Start/Helping Appalachian Parents and Infants (HAPI) program. The initiative offers support to local health organizations in communities with high rates of infant mortality and negative maternal health outcomes. Over the next five years, HAPI will receive $1.1 million annually to support operations in existing participating communities, as well as expand operations to four new West Virginia counties.

It's about that time again, which is crazy because it feels like just yesterday I was writing the spring camp previews. Back then, football preparation was taking a backseat to the pending basketball coaching search. This time around, fall camp will be in the spotlight of the WVU sports world. Today we continue the position-by-position preview for preseason camp. The Mountaineers went 9-4 last season, including beating up on UNC in a bowl game that ended with Neal Brown being covered in mayonnaise. West Virginia football enters the 2024 season with significant wind in its sails, so fall camp should be particularly interesting to watch next month.
