AROOSTOOK COUNTY, Maine (WAGM) - Fort Fairfield played at Easton this afternoon, a rematch of last year’s Class D North championship. Easton won the last one, the Tigers were there looking for a win. The Bears were defending their home field, this one was all defense. Both teams were aggressive on offense, but the defense ended up being the x factor. In the first half the Tigers used a corner to their advantage and scored the only goal of the first half. Easton tied up the game before the end of regulation, then after nine and a half minutes of overtime, Easton got it done on a corner to win it 2-1.
