ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WPDE) — On Monday, two people were charged in Robeson County for a murder that occurred in 2015. Paul Benthall Jr., 42, of Greensboro and Kevin Jermund Billings, 46, of Maxton have been charged with first-degree murder, three counts of armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and seven counts of kidnapping.

Hamlet man sentenced to 125 years in child sex abuse case
ROCKINGHAM — A Hamlet man has been sentenced to more than 100 years after being convicted on multiple sex offenses.
