A house in New Hartford that sold for $725,000 tops the list of the most expensive residential real estate sales in Oneida County in the past week. In total, 32 residential real estate sales were recorded in the county during the past week, with an average price of $264,998, or $161 per square foot.

ROME — The deadline to apply for the Rome Business Emergency Fund is Friday, Sept. 6, according to city officials. Following the devastating tornado that tore through downtown Rome on July 16, the Rome Area Chamber of Commerce partnered with the city and Oneida County to set up the Rome Business Emergency Fund to help businesses damaged in the storm. A total of about $650,000 was collected for the fund, and about $265,000 has been allocated so far to more than 60 businesses in Rome, city officials said.
