A house in Livingston that sold for $2.9 million tops the list of the most expensive residential real estate sales in Essex County in the past week. In total, 121 residential real estate sales were recorded in the county during the past week, with an average price of $734,795. The average price per square foot was $376.
Warren Women Plead Guilty of $1.3 Million School Embezzlement

Essex County Prosecutor Takes Over Investigation of Police Officer-Involved Shooting in Rahway
RAHWAY, NJ — Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II announced on July 25 that the Essex County Prosecutor's Office had been assigned to investigate the police officer-involved shooting that took place in Rahway around 8:30 on the evening of July 24, injuring a Perth Amboy detective. Detectives from the Perth Amboy Police Department, with the assistance of officers from the Rahway Police Department, were in Rahway in order to execute an arrest warrant for 20-year-old Rahway resident Angel Santiago. Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. dedicated a bronze bust of long-time Essex County Parks Director Daniel K. Salvante in the Cherry Blossom Welcome Center in Essex County Branch Brook Park in Newark on Wednesday, July 24.
