The New England Patriots announced the release of rookie free agent cornerback Kaleb Ford-Dement on Friday. Ford-Dement was one of nine rookie free agents signed by the Patriots back in May. He bounced around at Old Dominion, Washington State and Texas State in college. His best year came at Texas State when he had 21 tackles, three interceptions and seven pass deflections. It was always going to be an uphill battle for him in New England given the bevy of talent in the defensive backfield. The depth chart is topped by Christian Gonzalez, Jonathan Jones and Marcus Jones.
