It all started around 1:30 a.m. Thursday on Bordeaux Village Place near N 50th Street and E 127th Avenue near the campus of the University of South Florida when Hillsborough County deputies received a call about a possible kidnapping.

Tampa police officer arrested, relieved of duty
TAMPA, Fla. — A Tampa Police Department officer is on administrative leave following his arrest for a reported domestic violence incident, authorities say. Investigators say Cornelius Young, who had been with TPD since November 2023, was arrested in an off-duty incident in Sun City on Wednesday, July 17, after a reported verbal fight with a woman he knew turned physical, the agency said in a news release. The victim had minor injuries.
Former Pinellas detention deputy arrested again for child porn
TAMPA, Fla. — Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested a former detention deputy from Pinellas County on several additional counts of child pornography. Trevor Willis, 33, faces nine more charges of child porn following the discovery of such material on a social media site linked to him, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office news release.
