Clearwater man hospitalized after being hit by car
CLEARWATER, Fla. — A 61-year-old man is in critical condition at the hospital after he was hit by a car Tuesday evening on Missouri Avenue, according to Clearwater police. The crash happened just after 10 p.m. Tuesday on Missouri near South M.L.K Jr. avenues, according to a news release. Police said the man crossed the road outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a car heading south.

SAN DIEGO — The San Diego Fire Department rescued a 16-year-old girl stuck nearly 7 feet deep inside the sand in Mission Beach near Belmont Park. First responders arrived at Mission Beach at around 4:50 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. TAMPA, Fla. — Allegiant announced eight new routes that will take Florida residents across the country for as low as $39. The commercial airline will be using St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) to fly to and from Savannah, Georgia, through Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV), beginning Nov. 15, 2024. Deputy Kalin Hall was run over by a driver he tried to pull over on July 5. The man who rammed into him, named William Lewis Jr., was arrested a few days later along with his girlfriend, Keilise Garrison, who was accused of helping him.
