The Thrift Project to Empower Young Adults Through Sustainable Fashion and Civic Action

Philadelphia, PA – The Thrift Project, a one-day extravaganza, is set to gather over 2,000 young adults (ages 18-35) in Philadelphia for a unique blend of thrift shopping, live music, food trucks, and sustainable fashion education. The event, produced by The Grindhouse Inc. and Show Up Strong ’24, aims to promote sustainable consumption, foster community, and encourage young adults to register to vote and participate in upcoming elections. Event Details:

• Date: August 31, 2024
• Time: 11 AM to 7 PM
• Location: 3525 I Street, Philadelphia, PA 19134
• Attendees: 2,000+ young adults (ages 18-35)
• Vendors: Over 50 vendors including thrift shops, vintage shops, sustainable fashion brands, and food trucks
• Entertainment: Live music performances, DJ sets, Creative Entrepreneurship and Fashion panel discussions

Christina Faith, the producer of The Thrift Project, emphasizes the event’s goal of educating attendees on sustainable fashion and living practices while also fostering civic participation among young adults. “The Thrift Project is not just an event, it’s a movement,” said Christina Faith. “We’re bringing together a community of young people who are passionate about sustainability, music, food, and making a positive impact in our city.
