9-Year-Old Girl Shot in Winton Hills

Cincinnati police are investigating after a 9-year-old girl was shot Monday night in Winton Hills.

The shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. near the 5000 block of Winneste Avenue, according to authorities. Thankfully, police confirmed the child sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers state that they became aware of the incident when someone drove the child to Good Samaritan Hospital in a private vehicle and alerted them. This tip prompted an investigation that lasted until about 11:30 p.m. Monday along Winneste Avenue in the residential development commonly called “Winton Terrace”.

Police have not yet determined the exact location of the shooting or provided information on any suspects. The investigation is ongoing, and officers continue to gather details on what led to the shooting.
