A friend just returned from a trip to Washington, D.C., and mentioned that the city was loud, dirty, and, from what I determined, not the safest. That's how I feel every time I go to Denver: too many people, too many cars on the road, too many homeless, and too much crime. When I drive over the Wyoming/ Colorado state line coming back home, there's always a huge sigh of relief.
