He was pronounced dead at the scene.</p><h2>Missing Man did not Show Up for Family Function</h2><p>McBeth was reported missing at 7 pm after he did not show up at a family event. He was from Vero Beach, Florida and a seasonal resident of Cushing, said <a href="https://wgme.com/news/local/marine-patrol-investigates-after-body-discovered-on-cushing-shore#">WGME News</a>.</p><h2>Search and Recovery</h2><p>The search was conducted by Marine Patrol, the Knox County Sheriff's Office and the Maine Warden Service.</p><h2>Investigation Remains Open</h2><p>The investigation into his death is ongoing.
