    Fake maintenance workers wanted for Queens home invasion

    NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police released surveillance footage of two men accused of posing as fake maintenance workers in a Queens home invasion on Tuesday.

    Just before 2 p.m., the pair of suspects approached a 28-year-old in the vicinity of Gates Avenue and Fresh Pond Road in Ridgewood, authorities said.

    According to officials, one of them engaged in conversation with the 28-year-old male victim as he entered the residence, then displayed a firearm.

    Both suspects entered the residence, where a 70-year-old woman was also inside and they forcefully stole $18,000 and a gold bracelet, cops said.
