NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police on Friday released footage of two men they are looking to identify for beating and robbing a man then nearly pushing him down staircase at a Queens subway station earlier this week.

At approximately 1 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, the 35-year-old victim was inside of the 82 Street-Jackson Heights subway station on the 7 line when he observed the two suspects assaulting a man on the mezzanine level of the station.

When the victim took out his phone to call 911, the suspects approached the victim and grabbed the device then attempted to shove the victim down the staircase of the station and chased him to the street level where they began punching him, officials said.

The attackers then fled to parts unknown.

The victim suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
