    Man snatches necklaces off woman on Brooklyn subway train

    NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police on Wednesday released surveillance footage of a man accused of snatching a woman's necklaces off while on Brooklyn subway train last week.

    It happened at approximately 5:20 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, a 28-year-old woman was on the northbound Q train, authorities said.

    According to officials, When the train stopped at the Atlantic Avenue station in Downtown Brooklyn, the suspect approached the victim and forcibly took three chains from her neck.

    The suspect then fled the location on foot to the northbound 3 train.

    The victim sustained minor injuries but was not hospitalized.

    The suspect was last seen wearing glasses, a blue surgical mask, a gray sweater, gray pants and carrying a backpack.
