    Brooklyn robber slaps, chokes and throws women

    NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police on Friday released a photo of a man accused of violently robbing women in two incidents in Brooklyn last week.

    The first incident occurred just before 9 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, authorities said.

    The suspect approached a 41-year-old woman from behind in the vicinity of Osborn Street and Livonia Avenue in Brownsville and placed his arm around her neck, pushed her to the ground, and attempted to steal money from her pockets, officials said.

    The suspect was unsuccessful and fled on foot to parts unknown.

    The second incident happened at approximately 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3, when the suspect approached a 33-year-old woman from behind in the vicinity of Riverdale Avenue and Mother Gaston Boulevard in Brownsville.

    The suspect slapped the victim on the buttocks, threw her to the ground, and forcibly stole her property then fled on foot to parts unknown, cops said.

    Both victims suffered minor injuries as a result of the incidents.
