Attacker punches man, 68, to ground on Queens street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man accused of punching a 68-year-old man to the ground during a dispute on a Queens street on Sunday afternoon.

At approximately 2:50 p.m., the victim was walking within the vicinity of Whitestone Expressway and Third Avenue in Whitestone, officials said.

According to authorities, the suspect approached him and engaged him in a verbal dispute. The suspect then punched the victim in the face causing him to fall to the ground before fleeing to parts unknown.

The victim was taken to New York-Presbyterian Methodist Hospital in stable condition.

The attacker was last seen wearing a black shirt, light colored shorts and black sandals.
