    Man charged in machete attack during dispute on Bronx subway

    NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Authorities on Tuesday arrested a man accused of using a machete to attack a rider during a dispute on a Bronx subway train last month.

    Runadieo Jordan, 54, was charged with attempted murder, assault, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment, the NYPD said.

    According to officials, at approximately 1:13 a.m., a 31-year-old man was aboard a northbound 2 train approaching the Allerton Avenue subway station on Saturday, Aug. 31 when he was approached by Jordan.

    A verbal dispute ensued and escalated when Jordan allegedly took out a machete and began to strike the victim multiple times causing injuries to his arm and hand.

    EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospital/Jacobi in stable condition.
