Beating victim, 36, climbs onto yellow cab to escape attackers in Midtown

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police on Tuesday released surveillance footage of a trio of suspects accused of beating a man who climbed onto a yellow cab to escape the attack in Midtown over the weekend.

It happened at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, when a group of unidentified individuals chased a 36-year-old man onto the top of a yellow taxicab in the vicinity of Park Avenue and East 32nd Street, authorities said.

According to officials, the group punched, kicked and struck the victim with unidentified objects before fleeing on foot in unknown directions.

The victim sustained injuries to the face and was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.
