NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – An MTA train operator was stabbed multiple times in Brooklyn on Tuesday, police confirmed with 1010 WINS.

The stabbing happened at around 11 a.m. at the Crown Heights-Utica Avenue Station in Crown Heights.

According to police, the man was stabbed in the leg and torso after a confrontation with a 27-year-old suspect.

The dispute began when the operator instructed passengers to exit the number 4 subway train at its final stop, cops confirmed.

The suspect allegedly refused, leading to an altercation on the platform.

The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County and is in stable condition.

    An investigation is ongoing.

The suspect was taken into custody with charges pending, sources told 1010 WINS.
