‘The Lord of the Rings’ Goes Animated In New ‘War of the Rohirrim’ Images
Long before Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy, J.R.R. Tolkien’s work made its way to the screen in animated form, first in 1977’s The Hobbit and then in 1978’s The Lord of the Rings and 1980’s The Return of the King. So in a sense the new Lord of the Rings movie, The War of the Rohirrim, is a return to the franchise’s roots, at least onscreen.

It's cool to see 18-wheelers driving down the highway filled with lights dotting the entire trailer or huge sleeping quarters. As big days go, July 4th is one of the big dogs. It's America's birthday. July 4th is not just a big day for America. It's also part of Iowa history. We learned from Iowa PBS that early in its journey, the U.S. Congress set up a roadmap for western lands to become states, remembering how the American colonists weren't exactly fans of British rule (cue the Revolutionary fireworks). There is more than one way to become an American. The most obvious is to be born on United States soil, but there's another option that requires a little more paperwork.
