Report: Dallas Cowboys offer CeeDee Lamb massive deal

The Dallas Cowboys are getting closer to crossing the finish line with CeeDee Lamb.

According to reports from Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News , the Cowboys met with Lamb's agents and offered a massive deal worth $33 million annually.

The discussions come on the heels of Lamb's hold out from training camp.

After Justin Jefferson reset the market this offseason with a four-year $140 million deal that will pay him $35 million per year, Lamb was looking for a deal that would make him not just the highest paid receiver, but the highest paid non-QB in the NFL.

If he accepts this deal, he would be very close, sitting just behind Jefferson and just in front of Eagles receiver A.J. Brown, who recently signed a $32 million per year deal.

Coming off of the best season of his young career, in which he made a record setting 135 catches for 1,745 yards and 12 touchdowns, Lamb undoubtedly deserves such a number.

If they are able to close the deal with Lamb, things are far from over for the Cowboys, however, still must look to secure the other half of the offensive duo in Prescott, as well as Micah Parsons.

But for now, it appears that they have at least gotten the ball rolling, and perhaps more.
