An arrest has been made after a hit and run in the Low Country that killed two Upstate women. The Charleston Police Department says 25 year old David Gentilin of Charleston turned himself in Wednesday afternoon.

The charges came after a weekend crash killed Lizzy Zito and Arianna Gamber both were 20 years old and were from Simpsonville. Zito was a College Of Charleston student who was set to graduate this month.

A car matching the description of the suspect vehicle that had damage consistent with the collision was found in a parking lot not far from the crash scene prior to the suspect turning himself in.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are expected to be filed.
