False Information Spread on Missing Carlisle Woman

In a social media post May 20, 2024, the Union County Sheriff's Office said they are still searching for a missing Carlisle woman with Alzheimer's after some false information was posted.

61-year-old Lisa Johnson has been missing since April 21, 2024.

The Sheriff's Office said they received a National Crime Information Center hit on a Lisa Johnson, but that Johnson was out of North Carolina. The Sheriff's Office said on Facebook, "citizens of Union that have a scanner heard this... and shared via social media she's been located." That is incorrect. Lisa Johnson of Carlisle, a town in Union County, South Carolina, is still missing.

The Sheriff's office and SLED are still actively searching for her.  Anyone who believes they have seen her or has information on her whereabouts is asked to call 911.
