Police in Spartanburg are working a second shooting at the Crown Point Apartment complex in the last three weeks.

Around 5PM Monday, officers were dispatched to Powell Mill Road after a man had been shot inside his apartment. According to the Spartanburg Police Department's FB page, the victim was struck in the stomach by a stray bullet.

The unidentified male told Officers he did see juveniles fighting outside in the parking lot before shots were fired.  Police say the man was not transported by EMS as his injuries were non life-threatening.

Late last month on August 28th around 4:45pm, Spartanburg Police were on scene of the same apartment complex investigating a shooting that injured a 13 year old.

In this case, the victim was shot while standing outside then ran to his apartment where police were called.  The teen suffered two gunshot wounds, one in the stomach and the other in the left hand. He was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Both shootings are still under investigation. Anyone with information can provide tips anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 888-CRIMESC.
