Both Laurens Electric and Duke Energy have reported widespread power outages, with Laurens Electric posting on social media that roughly 98 percent of their entire network was down Friday morning.

Duke Energy is in roughly the same ballpark, with well over one million customers affected across both of the Carolinas.

No timeframe estimations for power restoration have yet been announced.
