    WNC man charged with threatening FEMA workers while armed

    An arrest has been made in connection to threats made against FEMA workers in Western North Carolina. The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office says 44 year old, William Jacob Parsons of Bostic, North Carolina was arrested for threatening FEMA personnel over the weekend.

    The Sheriff's Office responded to a report that Parsons was armed with a handgun and rifle and was making comments about harming FEMA employees.
