A suspect convicted of killing his alleged lover in the Low Country five years ago is set to be sentenced this week. Daqua Lameek Ritter was convicted of killing a biological male, who identified as a woman.

The transgender woman, Dime Doe was in a reported sexual relationship with Ritter. Court records say once that relationship became known to Ritter's family and friends, he fatally shot Doe.

She was killed in the Low Country town of Allendale back in 2019. In February of this past year Ritter was convicted of a federal hate crime charge, obstruction and a weapons violation.

Ritter faces a possible maximum of life in prison. He's set to be sentenced at the Federal Courthouse in Columbia, Thursday afternoon.

murder, regardless of any claimed cause, is murder. adios. choices for method of demise are contingent on notarized statement from victim showing the choices they were given. in the absence of a notarized statement, the perpetrator shall be neutered with a dull rock, regardless of sexual identity and dispatched by the least expensive means available and as soon as possible.
