At first, it seemed Sam's was going to leave it closed for good but it's back now.Not only is it back, it's pointing the way to the <a href="https://www.star-telegram.com/news/business/fort-worth/article294057829.html?CID=_poll_openaccess">future of Sam's Club</a> outlets across the board.While there will be human employees on site, cashiers will not be among them. You're on your own at Sam's 2.0 ...<blockquote>“You’re going to walk into this club and it’s a fully digital experience,” Chris Nicholas, CEO and president of Sam’s Club, said in an Oct. 7 video interview with Omni Shop Retail. “The first thing you’re going to notice on your left-hand side is there are no registers. The Grapevine location will still make those famous pizzas but with a robot chef. This guy can crank out 100 pizza's per hour.Grapevine will also have a redesigned eating area and an in-house tortilla machine. I don't know when El Paso will see a new "digital" Sam's but you know that tortilla machine is going to go in first.Unless they also come up with a robot Margarita maker, then that may go in first.
