Top 10 Takeaways from NFL Week 3

The unthinkable continues to happen in week 3 of the NFL.

Winless teams beat undefeated teams, and teams that were favored to win, somehow came out on the losing end.

We seen rookies emerge — as veterans and team leaders have went down with early season injuries — and hold their own on the football field.

Some of our favorite teams have gotten off to an unimaginable start, while the Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Tennessee Titans are the only remaining teams still looking for their first victory.

With that, we take you through the top 10 takeaways from week 3 of the NFL.

    NFL Week 3 takeaways

The EAGLES said they were going to beat them Saints!

After a stunning loss at home last week, the Eagles sought redemption in what would be their toughest assignment to date. With Philly being one of the worst run defenses in the league, they knew their work would be cut out for them with the Saints being the most high-powered offense in the NFL so far, scoring over 90 points through two weeks. Philadelphia held their own and redeemed themselves for last week’s debacle, in what was indeed a ‘sweaty’ victory for the Eagles that came down to the wire.

    Cleveland ‘Bad News’ Browns:

A mantra that seemingly fit the Chicago Bears oh so well, is now making its way to Cleveland as they continue to struggle early on in the season. After losing bad to the Cowboys opening week, The Browns has two ‘gimmies’ on their schedule playing Jacksonville, and the New York Giants. They made out with a Win in Jacksonville, only to come back home and be upset by Rookie WR Malik Nabers and an underwhelming New York Giants team. As the Browns look to get back on track in the Win column, whose to blame for their mishaps?

Sam Darnold Comeback player of the Year?

After two back-to-back stellar performances, Sam Darnold led the Minnesota Vikings to another underdog victory, outlasting the favorited Texans 34-7. Darnold completed 17 passes for 181 yards and threw 4 touchdowns to 4 different receivers. Darnold is definitely worth consideration for comeback player of the year.

    Malik Willis homecoming

It was a full circle moment when Malik Willis stepped into Nissan Stadium. A former quarterback for the Tennessee Titans, he was very familiar with this turf, which led him into the end-zone for a touchdown and a upset win over his former team

    Bo’s Nix: The Buccaneers’ Buster

After a winless start to the year, the Broncos locked in and turned that Denver defense up against an undefeated Tampa Bay team who struggled to get the ball down the field all game. Nix threw for 216 yards and rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown.

    Standing Behind a Steel Curtain

The Steelers got past the Los Angeles Chargers in convincing fashion, not allowing the Chargers to see the there end of the field for most of the game, as they had to settle for one touchdown and one field goal the entire game. The Steelers Defense has not allowed more than 10 ppg.

Panthers put the pass behind them.. literally.

After Benching their Sophomore QB Bryce Young, Carolina was able to get their first win of the season behind veteran QB Andy Dalton. Carolina’s defense held the Raiders on multiple possessions while Dalton got in done on offense, throwing for 319 yards and 3 touchdowns.

49ers falter as Rams charge past San Fran late

San Francisco obviously not the same team without their Big 3 in Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, or George Kittle; but the 49ers looked as if they could do without early on in the game against Los Angeles. After going up 14-0 early in the first, The Los Angeles Rams charged back to cap off a hard-fought victory with a field-goal in the closing second of the game. Leaving the 49ers with a series of questions that need answers. Starting with: When is CMC coming back?

    JOSH ‘MVP’ ALLEN?

After delivering a brutal beating to the winless Jaguars, it is safe to say Josh Allen does not need a WR1 to look as good as he did last night. In an MVP performance, Allen threw 23 passes to 9 different receivers for a total of 263 yards and 4 touchdowns. It is without question we seen Josh Allen in MVP form.

    Jayden Daniels ROTY campaign

As a disgruntled Bengals team looked to get their first win, Jayden Daniels and the Commanders had other plans. In an upset with, the underdogs in Washington took command early. After letting a 40-yard Jamar Chase touchdown slip by them, the Commanders when on to score three touchdowns to secure a 21-13 halftime lead. The second half was much of the same as the Commanders dominated on both ends of the Football and upset the winless Bengals
