Hives also send out more foragers when the weather starts to cool off to find more food, which is why you're likely to see more and more hanging out near your garbage or left-out Coke can in the backyard. They are trying to come up with enough grub to last through the winter, and they can be totally rude about it! They just might come for you if they feel the least bit threatened.</p><p>If you come across a large beehive or wasp nest, it's best to steer clear and call a local pest control service or the city for help.
