Why was he allowed to leave often and no Resource Officer went to see what heceas doing? Students are not expected to leave or skip class and if they do, they should be found and find out why they (he) left. This may have been when he brought the gun into the building. We haven’t heard yet where the weapon was kept prior to the shooting. The halls should have been moritored as well as doors. We must do a better job of securing the schoolsxwhere our children stay most of the day. We need metal detectors and Police Resource Officers at the entrances and exits as people arrive and leave. Students should have clear backpacks and there should be cameras in every room and hallway which are monitored. We need to think of better ways to secure our schools so students, employees, and teachers are safe. Terrible to fear sending our children to school. Prayers for our children, parents, Teachers, citizens, law enforcement.
