SR-R Community Survey on Two Potential Projects
SAUK RAPIDS (WJON News) -- Residents in the Sauk Rapids-Rice School District are encouraged to fill out a community feedback survey. Superintendent Brad Bergstrom says the survey was recently mailed out to every single address in the district. The survey includes information on two possible projects and the potential tax impact they could have on property owners.
License Plate Stolen Off Business Vehicle in Waite Park
A business in Waite Park are reporting that a license plate was stolen off one of their business vehicles. Alicia Mages from Tri-County Crime Stoppers says it happened on the 10 block of 2nd Avenue South. The license plate is G630721Y. She says it was taken off a Ram 3500.
St. Cloud Man’s Murder Trial Begins in Benton County
FOLEY (WJON News) -- A three-week murder trial involving a St. Cloud man gets underway in Benton County this week. Thirty-eight-year-old Michael Carpenter is charged with 1st-degree premeditated murder and one count of 2nd-degree murder with intent after a shooting incident that killed a woman outside an east St. Cloud business.
18th Annual School Of Rock Taking Place in St. Cloud
ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- Kids who love to play music will be rocking out for the next few weeks. The 18th annual School Of Rock starts Tuesday and runs through August 1st. Sixty students who have just completed 6th through 12th grade will be forming 10 bands with each band learning two songs.
