<body><div><p>A chaotic scene unfolded in Rockford as police responded to reports of shots fired near the intersection of Guilford and Mulford Roads on Tuesday evening (10/8).</p><p>At approximately 5:00 p.m., officers were flagged down and quickly witnessed a traffic crash involving a vehicle linked to the gunfire and another unrelated car, according to the press release.</p><h2>3 Teens Arrested After Stolen Vehicle Incident at Guilford and Mulford Roads</h2><p>The drama escalated when the offending vehicle was identified as stolen and had visible evidence of gunfire.</p><p>As officers arrived, multiple suspects ran from the stolen vehicle. Two individuals were apprehended shortly after, while a third was found nearby suffering from a non-life-threatening graze wound.</p><p>The police investigation revealed two loaded handguns inside the stolen vehicle, one of which was equipped with an extended magazine.</p><h2>Serious Charges Filed Against Suspects</h2><p>Following a review by the <a href="https://winnebagocountystatesattorney.com/">Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office</a>, charges were filed against the individuals involved.</p><p>Terrance Preshon, 18, faces several serious accusations, including Aggravated Discharge of a Weapon, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and possession of a stolen auto.</p><p>Two juveniles, aged 16 and 17, were also charged with similar offenses, including possession of a stolen vehicle and resisting arrest.</p><h2>Teens Reportedly Involved in Robbery Minutes Before Shooting</h2><p>The incident took a darker turn when it was revealed that just minutes prior, a teenage male was robbed by the same group.</p><p>The victim, meeting the suspects for an online transaction, was forcibly removed from the stolen vehicle and partially run over.
