Lake Street hill closed Wednesday and Thursday for sewer service work

The City of Ithaca says the 100 and 200 blocks of Lake Street will be closed to through traffic on Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10 while a Water & Sewer crew installs a new sanitary sewer service for The Breeze project at 121-125 Lake Street.

They say:

The best access point for residents up to 210 Lake Street is from the bottom of the hill at Lincoln Street.

The best access point for residents of the 100 Block of Lake Street is from the top of the hill at University Avenue.

RECOMMENDED DETOURS: Eastbound traffic on Lincoln Street should turn right on Aurora Street, left on Court Street, and left on University Avenue.

Westbound traffic on University Avenue should turn left and continue downhill on University Avenue, turn right on Court Street, and right on Aurora Street to return to Lincoln Street.

Work is slated to start at 7am Wednesday and should finish about 3:30pm Thursday. No water service interruptions are expected, and local and emergency access will be maintained.
