Today, I have the privilege of speaking with Joseph Plazo, a serial entrepreneur and incumbent Marketing Leader. With a history rich in achievement, including three-time recognition on the INC.5000 list, iSupport Worldwide is a testament to the power of strategic outsourcing.     NB: Thank you for joining us, Joseph. Let's start from the beginning. Can you share with us the history of iSupport Worldwide?

    Joseph Plazo: Absolutely. iSupport Worldwide was founded with a vision to revolutionize how US companies approach outsourcing. Fred Crosetto, the Owner, aimed to simplify the process of setting up remote offices and staffing in the Philippines, making it accessible and efficient for US businesses of all sizes. Over the years, the organization adapted to changing market needs, always staying ahead of the curve. The incumbent CEO Courtney Bissett took the helm at the cusp of the pandemic. Under her watch, the company saw a new dawn of process evolution and rapid headcount growth.

    NB: Impressive. Speaking of achievements, your company has won the INC.5000 award three times. What do you attribute this success to?

    Joseph Plazo: Our success boils down to two things: innovation and people. We've consistently innovated our services and systems, ensuring that we offer top-notch solutions. We operate leanly, observe Kaizen and enshrine just-in-time to exceed expectations. Equally important is our team – a group of dedicated professionals in the Philippines and US who go above and beyond for our stakeholders. Courtney fondly calls her collaborators “The Avengers”.     NB:Let's talk about outsourcing. How would you explain this concept to someone unfamiliar with it?

    Joseph Plazo: Outsourcing is essentially delegating certain business processes or functions to external service providers. It's a strategic move that allows companies to focus on their core competencies while outsourcing non-core activities to specialists, often in different countries.iSupport Worldwide is not strictly outsourcing. It is an offshore operation. This flexible model sees clients holding full control over their staff as well as the infrastructure provided by iSupport Worldwide. The remote offices, people and infrastructure we provide are extensions of client operations, albeit hundreds of miles away.

    NB: Why the Philippines? What benefits does outsourcing there offer?

    Joseph Plazo: The Philippines is a hub for outsourcing for several reasons. The workforce here is highly educated, conscientious, English-speaking, and culturally aligned with Western business practices. Additionally, the cost advantages are significant, allowing companies to optimize their operations without compromising on quality.

    NB: Looking ahead, what's your vision for the future of iSupport Worldwide?

    Joseph Plazo:Not my vision. The Leadership’s shared vision. We seek to spearhead the offshoring and outsourcing industry. Our focus is on leveraging technology to provide even more seamless and efficient services. As we speak, the company is rolling out artificial intelligence and data-warehousing best practices. We're also looking at expanding our global footprint while maintaining the high standards iSupport is known for.

    Joseph Plazo: Well, one thing I always say is that in this industry, no two days are the same. It's a dynamic, ever-evolving field, and that's what makes it exciting. We've had our share of challenges, but it's the ability to adapt and grow that has defined our journey at iSupport Worldwide.
