This September, Delaware County will host The Wall That Heals, a poignant three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. The 375-foot-long structure, with a 7.5-foot-high apex, is inscribed with the names of 58,281 U.S. Armed Forces members who perished in the Vietnam War. It will be displayed at Liberty Township’s Havener Park from September 12 until 2:00 PM on September 15, 2024. This stop marks the only visit to Ohio for the traveling memorial this year.

Delaware City Council Continues To Consider Proposed Tax Levy
The proposed ordinance seeks authorization for a 0.45% increase in the City’s income tax. At the upcoming Delaware City Council meeting on July 8, 2024, at 7:00 PM in the City Council Chambers, Ordinance No. 24-60 will be up for a public hearing and second reading. This ordinance proposes an amendment to Chapter 192 of the City’s Codified Ordinances, aiming to levy an additional forty-five one-hundredths of one percent (0.45%) income tax. The funds generated from this increase will be dedicated to capital improvements, maintenance and repair of streets, and the payment of securities issued for these purposes.
