East Forsyth has been one of the premier high school programs in the state for more than a decade. Not surprisingly, the Eagles have produced numerous Division I prospects, and fortunately for NC State, the Wolfpack's had a significant amount of recruiting success at the school.Rising junior wide receiver <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/jaire-richburg-46143029/">Jaire Richburg</a> is one of the Eagles' next big-time college prospects and he's a top priority for the Wolfpack in the 2026 class. Richburg, who's also a standout basketball player at East Forsyth, put together an impressive sophomore season, catching 42 passes for 589 yards with nine touchdowns and totaling 218 kickoff return yards, while helping the Eagles to a 10-2 record.Now, he's expected to be a leader for East Forsyth this fall."I'm excited about the season -- I'm ready for it," said the 6-foot-3, 180-pound Richburg. "I've really focused on my technique and all the little things in the offseason. I definitely have to take on more of a leadership role this fall."Richburg's stock is soaring on the recruiting trail and his scholarship total is well into double digits. However, there's a smaller group of schools showing the most interest in the East Forsyth playmaker."<a href="https://247sports.com/college/north-carolina/">North Carolina</a>, <a href="https://247sports.com/college/virginia-tech/">Virginia Tech</a> and NC State are recruiting me hardest," Richburg said. "It definitely means a lot. They're all schools close to home, too."Veteran assistant <a href="https://247sports.com/Coach/joker-phillips-177/">Joker Phillips</a> is spearheading State's recruiting efforts. Phillips targeted Richburg early and his consistent, honest recruiting approach has made a good impression on the big-play receiver."He actually came to one of my spring practices and that really meant a lot," Richburg said. "It shows he really wants me. If I were to go there, I know I'd have that relationship."He's told me he likes how I can go up and get the ball and he likes the way I move. I like how he gets on you and pushes you to be your best. I need honesty, not coaches who are going to tell you what you want to hear."Richburg's visited the Pack twice this year. The first trip was its junior day in January and he recently returned to campus for one of State's spring practices. On each visit, he had in-depth conversations with head coach <a href="https://247sports.com/Coach/dave-doeren-139/">Dave Doeren</a>. "He's told me I'm an important target and said they're really trying to start building the (2026) class early," Richburg said. "He wants the best guys in the state. He doesn't want us to go out-of-state."Visit-wise, outside State, he checked out <a href="https://247sports.com/college/wake-forest/">Wake Forest</a>, Virginia Tech and UNC this spring. He's yet to schedule any summer trips, but said he plans to visit <a href="https://247sports.com/college/penn-state/">Penn State</a>, <a href="https://247sports.com/college/louisville/">Louisville</a>, <a href="https://247sports.com/college/maryland/">Maryland</a>, State and UNC.Richburg will likely trim his list of schools after his junior campaign. According to him, State, Virginia Tech and UNC are in good position to make the cut.The East Forsyth star said he'll likely make his commitment next spring.</div></body>
