The ACC is poised for another impressive postseason in 2024-25 after adding some of the nation's top <a href="https://247sports.com/season/2024-basketball/transferportal/">transfer portal</a> talent this offseason, helping the league land multiple teams in the <a href="https://247sports.com/longformarticle/college-basketballs-way-too-early-top-25-odds-for-2024-25-march-madness-kansas-unc-duke-cooper-flagg-alabama-nate-oats-230149733/#2402992">preseason top 25</a>.Ten of the <a href="https://247sports.com/college/transfer-portal/season/2024-basketball/transferportaltop/">transfer portal's top 100 prospects</a> found a home in the ACC this offseason, and we're highlighting all 10 in this article. Duke was the only major college basketball team not to take a transfer last offseason, but it leads all ACC teams in the top 100 transfers with three. NC State and Louisville join the Blue Devils with <a href="https://247sports.com/Season/2024-Basketball/TransferTeamRankings/">top 25 portal classes</a>, while Syracuse, SMU and Miami put together strong classes with a trio of four-star prospects apiece. North Carolina has landed just one prospect thus far, but he's among the highest-rated commits in the conference.Here are the top 10 transfers joining the ACC for the 2024-25 college basketball season, ranked:<h2>10. Jon Scheyer and Co. checked that box with Gillis, a five-year college veteran coming off a national championship berth with Purdue. Gillis isn't an offensive threat. He averaged 6.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game last season and put up zero points in 24 minutes in the title game against UConn. Still, he offers versatility on defense and is a strong enough shooter to stretch the floor on offense, shooting 46.8% from three last season.<h2>9. He had a breakout season in Blacksburg last year, averaging 13.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. He shot 66.8% from the field, which led the ACC and ranked No. 4 nationally. Kidd, who measures in at 6-foot-10, 235 pounds, brings much-needed size to a Miami frontcourt that lost three big men, including star power forward Norchad Omier, to the transfer portal. <h2>8. Instead, he arrives in Winston Salem after a tough freshman year at Iowa State, where he averaged 2.4 points and 1.3 rebounds in 7.4 minutes per game. We named Biliew the best defender during the 2023 McDonald's All-American week and expect he'll put his ball-stopping skills on display in the ACC next season. Wake Forest head coach Steve Forbes has salvaged former top recruits before, i.e., Hunter Sallis.<h2>7. He shot 42.7% from the field and 34.3% from the three-point line last season, helping James Madison to its first NCAA Tournament appearance in over a decade.<h2>6. Power arrived at Duke last as a five-star, top-20 prospect but couldn't crack Jon Scheyer's rotation last season and averaged 2.1 points and 0.7 rebounds in just 7.0 minutes per game. He won't have that problem with Tony Bennett in Charlottesville. Virginia needs shooting, and Power has intriguing upside. He's a long 6-foot-9 and shot 35.7% from behind the arc despite having few opportunities to get into a rhythm. Power is a bonafide candidate for ACC Most Improved Player honors next season.<h2>5. He's efficient on offense, stingy on defense, and gives Duke's frontcourt a much-needed veteran presence with 61 career games under his belt. As a sophomore last season, Brown averaged 9.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.2 steals and 0.9 blocks per game. He shot 69.8% from the field and boasted the nation's third-highest effective field goal percentage (71.3%), according to KenPom.com. He topped the conference with 71 steals and earned ACC All-Defensive Team honors.<h2>4. The Blue Devils needed a veteran guard in the portal to offset the loss of Jeremy Roach and reeled in James, who averaged 14.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.6 steals per game last season. There are questions about how his offensive game will transfer to the ACC, but no one is doubting his defensive prowess. He's 6-foot-5, averaged 1.6 steals per game and swatted 23 shots last season. He's an important chess piece for the Blue Devils next season.<h2>3. Huntley-Hatfield is a big piece of what Kevin Keatts wants to do next season and will need to live up to his former five-star billing to keep the Wolfpack's arrow pointing up. The 6-foot-10, 240-pound big man averaged 12.6 points and 8.4 rebounds on 56.7% shooting from the field last season. He's steadily improved as a shooter during his three seasons in college and netted 42.9% of his three last season, connecting on 9-of-21 total attempts.<h2>2. He shot 40.4% from the field and 31.4% from the three-point line last season en route to All-Big 12 Honorable Mention honors.<h2>1. The Tar Heels pulled one of the portal's biggest success stories in Brady Manek in 2021-22 and enjoyed huge contributions from Cormac Ryan and Harrison Ingram last season. Tyson should enjoy similar success in Chapel Hill as he replaces Ryan in the starting lineup. Tyson averaged 16.2 points and 5.9 rebounds as a sophomore last season and shot 49.3% from the field and 46.5% from the three-point line, which ranked No. 2 nationally by the NCAA. Players with his height (6-foot-7) and shooting capabilities are extremely rare, and Davis will put him in a position to shine next season alongside a star-studded backcourt. Tyson is poised to be one of the most impactful transfers in the nation next season.</div></body>
