In what has become a Memorial Day weekend tradition now for 20 years, The 'QB Retreat,' sponsored by Adidas, had more of a local feel than previous years. Whereas in previous years, there would be a handful of top national quarterbacks from outside the region, this year's camp featured predominately players from the Southern <a href="https://247sports.com/college/california/">California</a> area. As we mentioned previously, the Retreat is a pretty relaxed setting for the quarterbacks and it's basically up to each individual to take as many reps as they want. The field conditions weren't ideal this year with a lot of slipping and sliding and a lot of the quarterbacks elected to take it easy.- If we had to pick a quarterback who probably took more reps than anyone else among the top group of signal callers, it would have been Corona (Calif.) Centennial's <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/husan-longstreet-46134189/">Husan Longstreet</a>. Longstreet has a really live arm and the ball jumps out of his hand.Even some of the college quarterbacks were commenting on his arm talent and overall twitch he plays with. His release point looked a little more three quarter than we've seen in the past but he still flashed, was consistent and the Texas A&amp;M commit looks primed for a strong showing at the upcoming Elite 11 Finals in June.- He only threw on Saturday but Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne sophomore <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/jaden-oneal-46131911/">Jaden O'Neal</a> looked very good as well. O'Neal has had a great off-season and established himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the '26 class. He has one of the purest strokes in the country, regardless of class and one of the strongest arms as well. He's a pocket guy but has improved in his ability to roll out and throw on the run and looks more functional athletically. He has a strong frame and if he can continue to develop at the rate he currently is, there is no doubt he'll be mentioned among the very best signal callers in his class.- Newbury Park (Calif.) sophomore <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/brady-smigiel-46117474/">Brady Smigiel</a> is another talented player from the class of '26. His deep ball accuracy is about as good as you'll see at this level. He has great touch and feel for getting the ball down the field and makes it look effortless. Smigiel has taken a handful of visits this off-season and is a high priority target for schools from coast to coast. He has been putting up video game numbers since his freshman year and looks set for another monster season this fall. - Murrieta Valley (Calif.) quarterback and <a href="https://247sports.com/college/stanford/">Stanford</a> commit <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/bear-bachmeier-46116816/">Bear Bachmeier</a> has been a regular at the QB Retreat since middle school. He's a big, strong kid who plays the game with a linebacker mentality. Bachmeier is a true dual-threat who runs well, can escape pressure and is a better pure thrower than given credit for. He's strong mechanically, throws a consistently tight ball and has an all around game built for being successful at the college level. - Orange Lutheran (Calif.) quarterback and <a href="https://247sports.com/college/nebraska/">Nebraska</a> commit <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/TJ-Lateef-46130401">TJ Lateef</a> made his first appearance at the QB Retreat. It looked like he was working on some mechanical issues on Saturday but threw a tighter ball on Sunday. His arm strength was very good and his accuracy was solid as well. He's a naturally strong kid, especially in his lower half and he's another player that can make plays outside the pocket when the pads come on. We'll have a chance to see Lateef live once more in a few weeks at the Elite 11 Finals. - Yet another promising sophomore was San Marcos (Calif.) Mission Hills quarterback <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/troy-huhn-46139834/">Troy Huhn</a>. Huhn has really blown up this off-season and picked up scholarship offers from just about every top program that has gone out to see him. There's a lot to like with Huhn as he has a 6-4 projectable frame with plenty of room to add good weight. He throws a very catchable ball with a consistent tight release. He can get the ball out quick and showed good touch on the deeper throws as well. Under the Radar QBs To Watch- We've always liked Inglewood (Calif.) quarterback <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/kingston-tisdell-46139497/">Kingston Tisdell</a> ever since first seeing him as a sophomore while at Van Nuys (Calif.) Birmingham. He has one of the smoothest deliveries out West and you could use him as a teaching tape in terms of his ball carriage, release and follow through. He has been very productive over the last two years, is a winner, protects the football and it's a mystery why he's not being recruited at a much higher level than he currently is. - Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) junior <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/emiliano-villarreal-46145348/">Emiliano Villarreal</a> is another player we think has next level talent but isn't being recruited as highly as he probably deserves. He's right around 6-0 but has a live arm and was ripping the ball to all three levels all weekend. He throws with touch and timing and looks primed for a big senior year. - Another player who caught our eye was sophomore <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/brandon-mann-46149971/">Brandon Mann</a>. Mann played last season at San Francisco (Calif.) St. Ignatius but recently enrolled at <a href="https://247sports.com/nfl/las-vegas-raiders/">Las Vegas</a> (Nev.) Bishop Manogue. Mann might have taken more reps than anyone and opened a lot of eyes as well. He has a big arm and can get the ball down the field, throws a tight ball and was very accurate both days.- Another '26 who flashed for us was Covina (Calif.) Charter Oak signs caller <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/corin-berry-46150143/">Corin Berry</a>. Berry has an athletic 6-3 frame and definitely looks the part. He's a plus athlete who looks comfortable throwing on the move, has plenty of arm and is a quarterback definitely worth watching closely this summer. - Santa Monica (Calif.) sophomore <a href="https://247sports.com/Player/wyatt-brown-46148930/">Wyatt Brown</a> is a smooth lefty with a natural stroke. He looked smooth in his drops, comfortable rolling out and throwing to his left or right and has a natural feel for the position. His touch on the deeper throws was impressive as well and he's definitely an intriguing player to watch. </div></body>
