Quarterback Anthony Colandrea looked good, completing 17-of-23 passes for 297 yards and two touchdowns. He added 49 yards and another score on the ground. Transfer quarterback Hank Bachmeier turned in a strong performance with 283 passing yards and three scores. Junior running back Demon Claiborne toted the ball 17 times for 135 yards and a touchdown. DUKE BLUE DEVILS (1-0)Week 1 Result: Beats Elon, 26-3Duke took its time separating from FCS Elon on Saturday and eventually pulled out a 26-3 win in its season opener. The Blue Devils' run game was anemic, and transfer quarterback Maalik Murphy struggled to push the ball downfield against an inferior opponent. CALIFORNIA GOLDEN BEARS (1-0)Week 1 Result: Beats UC Davis, 31-13UC Davis held star running back Jadyn Ott to 49 rushing yards, but Cal took care of the FCS Aggies with a 31-13 win at home. The Panthers' defense ceded a few big plays in the passing game in the 55-24 win over Kent State but got their own shots in with 5.0 sacks. Alabama transfer Eli Holstein looked like the real deal at quarterback. FLORIDA STATE SEMINOLES (0-2)Week 1 Result: Loses to Boston College, 28-13It feels wrong to rank Florida State this high. The Seminoles opened the season with a stunning loss to Georgia Tech in Dublin in Week 0 then turned around and got whipped by Boston College at home. However, FSU is likely favored in matchups against the lower-ranked teams on this list. That could change if Mike Norvell doesn't fix things quickly. Transfer quarterback DJ Uiagalelei has been a disaster in Tallahassee. That's a recipe for disaster when your running game only musters 21 yards and 13 carries against the Eagles.<h2>10. The Hokies checked in at No. 5 in our ACC preseason power rankings but dropped all the way down to No. 10 after an overtime loss to Vanderbilt in Week 1. The Hokies offensive line looks like a concern after it allowed 4.0 sacks and got beat back in the run game. On the other side, Brent Pry and Co. had no answers for the Commodores run game, allowing 181 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. The silver lining is Kyron Drones looked as advertised, and there's still plenty of time to climb the rankings. <h2>9. Syracuse Orange (1-0)</h2><figure><img src="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?type=thumbnail_580x000&amp;url=2ZnP0j_0vJ4fdkM00" alt="https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=2ZnP0j_0vJ4fdkM00" width="620" height="320" ><figcaption>(Photo: USA TODAY Sports)</figcaption></figure>Week 1 Result: Beats Ohio, 38-22No one knew what to expect from Syracuse after it brought in Fran Brown and 18 new players in the transfer portal. So far, so good. Ohio State transfer Kyle McCord debuted with 354 yards and four touchdowns with one interception in the 38-22 win over Ohio. He hit eight different receivers and found star tight end Oronde Gadsden II seven times or 108 yards and a score. Gadsden should be a shoo-in for All-ACC honors. The Orange allowed nearly 300 yards on the ground to the Bobcats, making run defense a concern ahead of its Week 2 matchup with Georgia Tech.<h2>8. The Mustangs are a double-digit favorite against BYU next week and could be 4-0 when it hosts Florida State.<h2>7. Starting quarterback Max Johnson struggled before suffering a broken femur in the third quarter. He's out for the season, and backup Conner Harrell looked bewildered behind a UNC offensive line full of new faces. The good news is Geoff Collins' defense looked legit, and the Tar Heels will have time to get Harrell comfortable with games against Charlotte, NC Centra, and James Madison over the next three weeks.<h2>6. Transfer quarterback Grayson McCall and running back Jordan Waters put up big numbers in their NC State debuts, while Kevin Concepcion looked like a lock for All-ACC honors with 121 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The concern lies along the defensive line. The Catamounts offensive line had its way with the Wolfpack, which could spell doom for Dave Doeren and company against Tennessee in Week 2.<h2>5. Clemson could be poised for another disappointing season unless its former five-star signal caller finds what he's missing.<h2>4. Journeyman Tyler Shough eased some of those concerns in his Cardinals debut, completing 18-of-24 passes with 232 yards and four touchdowns in a 62-0 win over Austin Peay. Louisville boasted one of the best pass-rushes in the ACC last season, and it looks like the unit might have improved this offseason after racking up 7.0 sacks against the Governors.<h2>3. Quarterback Thomas Castellanos looked like one of the ACC's premier dual-threat weapons. HE completed 10-of-16 passes for 106 yards and two touchdowns and racked up 73 yards and another score on the ground.<h2>2. The Yellow Jackets improved to 2-0 on Saturday with a 35-12 win over Georgia State. Quarterback Haynes King put together another strong performance, completing 24-of-29 passes for 275 yards and two touchdowns. Redshirt junior Malik Rutherford is having a breakout campaign. He led the Yellow Jackets in receiving against The Seminoles and caught seven balls for 131 yards and a score against the Panthers. It won't be easy for Georgia Tech down the stretch, but Brent Key's crew has shown it can compete with anyone.<h2>1.
